i was one of the coordinator for the Japan Film Festival -Los Angeles- for this year. but, i kept feeling a bit guilty for the fact that i had never seen Kurosawa films before.... we had two kurosawa films, "Sanjuro" and "The Hidden Fortress" in the film fest. i got to see "The Hidden Fortress"(1958) and i was surprised how its story was timelessly funny. And it was so obvious how film making has changed over the last 50 years, in terms of how much physical effort is put into the production of the films. It really made me feel like watching ALL Kurosawa films. So I am on a mission...!!
